I will be heading out to Best Buy to decide if an Acer Aspire One is a good business investment. If I buy one, I’ll give a thorough review.
In order to get things moving, we’ve obviously needed to start with business licensing to keep things legal. Plus, without an EIN (tax identification number) you can’t get a merchant account! I am more than capable of finding all the right forms to fill out in preparation for applying for an LLC with the state of Florida, but chose to let somebody else do it all for me.
LLC.com, the Company Corporation, did a fantastic job. The total cost of the “Complete” package was $722 after Florida’s $125 state filing fee and 2 added options, the Business License Compliance Package (provides physical licenses and permits, necessary for doing business) and the LLC Operating Agreement which outlines how Bruce and I will make our money, how much goes where, and who does what. I imagine a lot of people choose this route when preparing to start a business and there are a lot of companies that offer the same service, but LLC.com and the Company Corporation have proved to be quite impressing.
My paperwork and forms came in the mail just a few days later. After another few days I received our company seal, a three book legal and tax reference library, and the rest of my package goodies.
The “Complete” bundle includes the following:
So if you’re looking to form an LLC and are either clueless as to where to start or simply would rather have somebody else do the dirty work, LLC.com is your best bet. It’s quick and easy.
It’s subject to a bunch of change as we progress through the multiple ideas I have hanging out on paper, but this is what I’ve come up with for Merchannex’s mini-ography.
Merchannex is a hub of ideas that could potentially revolutionize the way consumers consume. Since we’re all consumers, it’s only fitting to encourage participation in the process of improving the ways we all shop. From formation to execution, Merchannex.com will be the centerpoint for the assimilation of the perfect online store and the trials and successes that are sure to loom along the way. Take part. Get involved. Share.
I really want to form a habit out of sharing the personal, day to day processes behind forming a company such as this. Community involvement is a must.
